The roots of the Baxi company go back as far as 1866, when Richard Baxendale joined forces with Joseph Heald. Baxi became a familiar name in British households in the years after the Second World War and in the years since then the company, with its strong reliance on workforce involvement, has expanded into Europe to become one of Europe’s leading brands.
Today, Baxi produces a range of boilers which, as well as combi boilers, includes heat only boilers, system boilers and back boilers. Many of Baxi’s boilers have achieved the SEDBUK ‘A’ rating which refers to the Seasonal Efficiency of Domestic Boilers in the United Kingdom. Their boilers which do not match this accolade still manage to achieve a ‘B’ rating.
Both of Baxi’s Combi ranges consist of four models which vary in output from 24kw to 40kw. You can choose from either the Baxi Duotec Combi, or the Baxi platinum Combi ranges in order to find the boiler that best suits the needs of your home. As these are high efficiency condensing boilers, you can be sure that they will reduce your carbon footprint and your heating bills. Some of these boilers can be supplied to run on LPG and come with a two to five year warranty, depending on the model.
The popular Baxi Solo HE is a highly energy efficient, with its compact body making it easy to install in most homes. As you would expect of Baxi, this boiler has a SEDBUK ‘A’ rating. It has easy to use controls and comes in a range of output options, ranging from 12kw to 30kw.
System boilers mean that you do not need to have a pump and expansion tank as many of the components are already built into the system. As a result, Baxi’s Megaflo System HE A is not only easy to install, but is neater and cheaper to run. It does require a storage system, but this means that you will have hot water whenever you need it. The Baxi’s Megaflo System HE A comes with a two year warranty and can also be supplied as an LPG model.
As well as solar powered hot water, Baxi also can also supply back boiler units and have done since 1966. If you are thinking of upgrading your old back boiler unit, then the easiest way to do it would be to replace it with the Baxi Bermuda BBU HE, which is the only high efficiency back boiler unit in the United Kingdom. In doing so, you will find that your heating bills will be reduced due to its high energy efficiency and the unit has been designed to easily fit in with existing pipe work.
